It's been too long, my friend.

I have become so lazy.

No blogging for weeks.
No working for weeks!
No running for weeks!!

Oh dear.

So, I had an amazing time visiting the Grand Canyon and Vegas. Both those nights I didn't have wifi, so I couldn't really continue my daily updates :/ BUT at least I took a ton of pictures!

I enjoyed my time in Oregon as well. So happy that I got a chance to see a lot of my wonderful family. Most of it was with the grandparents. Even though all we did was watch Dr. Oz, or old westerns I love spending time with them. My grandma thinks she's boring, but if she really knew what I saw, boring isn't even acceptable. Yes, they usually have a very uneventful day, but to me every minute is exciting because I'm with them enjoying their presence.

It was also so nice to see my sisters. I'm so glad Kelly is doing better, (Call if you need anything!) and Kristy is getting so stinking skinny (So Proud of you!). They both mean so much to me and every moment spent with them was precious to me, even if I was a jerk in the beginning. Sorry.

Anyways as of now, I'm trying to recover from pink eye and a sinus infection. I finally went to the doctor today. After a shot to the bum, I feel so much better! Thank goodness. Hopefully in a week I can start running again. I've missed it so much. I've lost weight from being sick, and i'm so very weak. I hope that I don't have to restart my training since I have been out of it for so long. :/

work on Friday!

And more blogging to come!

Finally a routine again!

Day TWO

Oh man. Day two.

Got up at the crack of dawn, an hour before we were supposed to get up I might add. I was so ready to be on the road and to get started. We left early and made our way to the petrified forest in Arizona. After we take our exit to the national park, fumes started to poor into the car and I thought it was the forrest. It smelt like burning wood, but nope. It was the compressor. To the car. It started to smoke. We decided that even though we might break down we might as well continue through the park. We like to live on the edge.

All I have is one word. INCREDIBLE. Holy crap. It was as if I was in a different world. In only 20 something miles I saw so many different terrains. The trail was absolutely gorgeous. I wish I could spend forever there. Honestly, it just shows how mysterious the world is.

After the park we drove to a town called Hollbrook Arizona, to check the car. We were there for about an hour and was told that it would take a day to get the part we need. Once again, my dad who likes to live on the edge told me that we would go to the next town which was a ways away and see if they had the part. I mean by golly we were making it to the grand canyon tonight.

The next town was Winslow, Az. I think I listened to my dad sing "Winslow Arizona" about 5 times. I still don't know what that song sounds like. Anyways we found a place to fix the car.

Oh Winslow, Az, you will always have a place in my heart. I spent four long, long hours with you today. Sat in a room, waiting for the car to get fixed , and watched every single day time Judge show. At first I was grumpy that I had to sit there and wait for forever to have the car fixed, but then I saw two little children running and playing in the halls and noticed that, to them, getting their car fixed wasn't a hassle, but an adventure. I think it gave me a whole different perspective the rest of the day.

After an hour that the car was supposed to be ready, it was finally finished and ready for us to leave Winslow. After hearing my dad sing "Winslow Arizona" one more time we finally made our way out of that town.

And finally made our way towards the Grand Canyon. It was dark, but even then it was still beautiful. I can't wait to see more tomorrow.

So the adventure Begins.

Day 1:

Went to bed at 2 a.m., got up at 3:33 and couldn't go back to sleep until 4, but had to get up at 5:20 to get ready to leave Texas and drive to Oregon.

Oh dear. I already started off with a bad start, but thats okay. Dad was there to back me up. Thankfully I navigated today and he drove. This morning we started off to a great start, and by that I mean, Dad printed off the wrong directions so we got a little lost, but figured it out in no time.
We made it out of texas by 3ish. After a long 6 hours, a few more times getting lost and a lot of junk food we finally arrived at Gallup, New Mexico for our rest.

Day one is finished.

Tomorrow I will be seeing the grand canyon for the first time.

Number 34. See the Grand Canyon
