Day 235: Dude

Dude, I am like so tired.
I don't know what my deal is, because I woke up at like 1 something today. I even slept longer than normal, but I am just so, so, so tired.

Dude, I only have a week left until summer school starts AGAIN. I don't wanna go.
I mean I do, but I don't. I do because I wont be so bored all of the time, but then I don't because I'll miss summer.

Dude, I want to go on a cruise so badly. Like next summer. I'm gonna plan it. I just love cruises. They are so amazing. But before I go on a cruise, I want to get my body in shape.

Dude, I've been slacking in that area! Like seriously. Im up 10 pounds since last time I've mentioned my weight!

DUDE! Thats ridiculous.
Dude, I want to go to sleep.

Day 233: Young reader.

Teaching Lukas to read is probably the cutest thing in the world.

I bought him a few books yesterday and i've never seen so much excitement from a kid.

I'm watching Troy with Brandie right now, so I need to pay attention. I just wanted to say how proud I was of my precious nephew!

Day 232: Sunburn

... :( I stayed out way too long.

Sunday, June 26, 2011

Day 231: I'm on the outside

My alarm went off around 6:30 this morning, but because I was worried I was going to be late to work I abruptly woke up around 6 and stayed up. I took a sluggish shower, ate some breakfast and started to get dressed when my phone started ringing. It was work. I had about 30 minutes until I needed to be there so I figured they were going to call me in early. Nope. They wanted me to come in 2 hours later. My shift was only 4 hours to begin with, but by pushing my shift latermy shift was only going to be 2 hours.

I went back to bed, grabbed my book that I had been reading these past few days and finished right before I had to go to work.

The book wasn't that great. It was entertaining, but I've read better.

I drove to work, listened to a song that I haven't heard for ages and it got stuck in my head. I kept repeating "I'm on the outside, I'm looking in, I can see through you, see your true colors, inside you're ugly, you're ugly like me, I can see through you, see the real you." Over and over and over again. I'm sure my coworkers would have enjoyed the silence instead of me singing a kind of depressing song. But oh well. It got stuck in my head. So I sang it anyways. My two hour shift flew by and now i'm in my room listening to...guess? "I'm on the outside..."

Once I get completely sick of this song, then I'll have to do something else. Not sure what? I finished a book, so I'll start another one but I want to do that later.

I should start studying for my French before my summer class, but it's my summer and I want to relax a little bit longer before I have to worry about that stuff.

Until then I'll be blasting this song and singing loud "INSIDE YOU'RE UGLY, YOU'RE UGLY LIKE ME!"

Day 230: My online Diary

I just realized that I have 135 more days of blog postings!

I can't believe I've even posted 230 blogs in a row (well minus the days I couldn't and/or I forgot, BUT thats beside the point because I immediately updated once I remembered, so that doesn't count)

It's also amazing to think that for 230 days I've logged onto this site every day, making it a routine to write, express myself and share something about my life with you. You, being the reader or you being the blog. My online Diary.

Maybe from now on I should start my post with:

Dear Diary,
Today I went to work.... Blah blah blah

Nah. I've already gone 230 days, so why start now?

ANYWAYS, as I was saying before, I have written, posted, shared pictures whatever it may be, I have posted day after day. Each day I have changed and I have evolved so just thinking that I have 135 more days to go excites me, because I'm eager to know what I'll be like in 135 days. It doesn't seem like a long time, but in only 230 days I have changed so much. I've shared my stories, my thoughts, my emotions and my life through this blog and I will continue to do so for another 135 days.

I'm proud that I haven't given up yet. Maybe I will actually be able to finish something, which definitely gives me hope for anything that approaches me in the future.

My online Diary, you are a wonderful friend. May these last 135 days be more interesting! I'll try to not post as many "Blah" blogs, but i'm not keeping any promises!

Sincerly,
Katelan

Day 229: People vs. individuals

12:30 isn't that late right? I mean, it's better than 2 right?

I stayed up until 4 something reading, so getting up at 12ish isn't too bad. I'm just going to keep telling myself that. It makes me feel better.

Today I go back to work after being on vacation for a month. It's always hard to go back. I wont really quit my job, because I need the money, but it sure would be nice not to work in retail. I'm no good there. Mainly because I don't like people in a general sense. I love individuals, just not people. It might not make sense to you, but that's the way I look it it. People seem to be so greedy, ignorant and stupid, where as when you get one on one time with an individual you get to actually know the person.

So me and people, don't work. And that really gets in the way when working in retail. Oh well. Money is money.

Well, I need to go shower, and get ready for my first day back.
Hopefully it will go by fast, but I doubt it.

Day 228: Talks

Last night I got to hang out with a friend, going through similar stuff I went through and I gave some advice. I don't know if the advice will be used, but I thought the whole discussion was good. Like, I believe it got through. I don't like giving advice and then it just being ignored. I think that is such crap. I hate when people do that, because it makes me feel like they didn't even need me in the first place. It's kind of like, why the heck did you waste my time by asking?
I appreciate a good friend that listens to it and lets it settle, whether or not they or going to try it, as long as they are listening thats all that matters.

Anywho, i have nothing else to say. I still get up late. I have work tomorrow for the first time since a month ago! Yuck. I just want to quit. Maybe I will. I dont know.

day 227: sleep

UGH. How do I always mess my sleeping schedule up during summer? And in such a short amount of time?

I have been going to bed at 4 or 5 and waking up around 2 or 3. It's pathetic.

I really need to fix this!!

I'm just mad at myself.

Tuesday, June 21, 2011

Day 228: Hailstorm

HAIL-ey crap! Last night, or I should say this morning, we had a massive storm come in. I haven't been that afraid of a storm in a long long while. The first shatter of thunder had me freaked out, but it wasn't until it started to hail golf ball size hail slamming into the roof and windows.

The ford was left at the LA fitness parking lot, so this morning we had to get get it. On the way there, Ross and I saw so many leaves left in the road from last night, fences knocked out, dents in cars, just a complete mess. It looked as though a hurricane hit us. As soon as we got there, Ross dropped me off and I drove the ford home. Dents and all. When I entered my house and went straight to my room and crawled into bed and slept until late afternoon.

I worked out hard last night and i'm super sore. Even though I hate sleeping late in the afternoon, I needed the sleep.

Today, I haven't been up to much. I finished my book that I had been reading. 11 more to go before school.

I'm off.

Monday, June 20, 2011

Day 227: Vacation

I want to go on vacation badly. As much as I love doing nothing, I want to go somewhere exciting.

I didn't do a whole lot today. Woke up late, watched some tv, read some books, worked out.

After the gym, the battery in my car died. So, I guess that was a little adventure.

Lame sauce.

I need something exciting to happen pronto.

Sunday, June 19, 2011

Day 226: Aliens in 2012

So, my brother told me to check out the arecibo message and that's what I did.

He also told me to watch this video.

I'm officially convinced that Aliens are going to come down 2012 and take us over.

Just watch.

Saturday, June 18, 2011

Day 225: I'm

HOME!

Thats it. I need to go to sleep.

Friday, June 17, 2011

Day 224: Last day at my dads

This evening I will be going over to Kelly's and Kelly's for my last night in Oregon. It's been a super fast trip. I'm ready to go home, but I'm not ready to leave. It's been nice to hang out with my family. I miss my grandparents already, but hopefully they will come out to Texas in October or November. Keep your fingers crossed.

Well, I have to go start packing and getting ready to leave, because pretty soon we are gonna head on over there.

Wednesday, June 15, 2011

Day 222: Lynn left today :/

Today is boring. I have to wait until my dad gets off work, and then I'm gonna go visit the grandparents.

So, i'm just stuck here doing nothing. Well, i'm doing some laundry and watching the office, but that's it. Oh and eating a lot.

God I really need to get home to start working out. I can feel it, and it's gross. But it's so hard to stop eating. I'm an addict! AH.

Tuesday, June 14, 2011

Day 221: Oregon Coast!

I love love love the coast. Today we went to Newport, unfortunately we didn't go to Ripleys, since it's been a tradition for so many years, but we did see some sea lions, had a great lunch and then drove over to the Devils Churn.

Tonight is Lynns last night here, so I think what we are going to do is have a Dexter marathon. She got a little addicted to the show since she has been out here. It's pretty funny, because that's exactly what happened to me when I first started to watch. I was an addict.

Well I'm gonna go, I'm kind of tired and my mind can't think of anything exciting to talk about.

Monday, June 13, 2011

Day 220:

I haven't done anything today, so I don't really have anything to write about. When i'm on vacation, my blogs are either really good, or really bad. Today is a bad one.

Also when i'm on vacation, I eat a lot. I need to work out so badly. I miss it. I'm glad that I'll have like a week to get adjusted to working out before I have to go back to summer school. If I don't go, i'll be so upset with myself. So, KATELAN, make yourself go. Don't be lazy, you bum.

I think tomorrow we might be going to the coast. Then later in the week I'll see my grandparents again. I always love being with them, but it is a good thing that I bought some new books so I have something to read when they pass out in their chairs while westerns are being played in the back ground. ;)

Sunday, June 12, 2011

Day 219: Shopping day!

As I wait for my dad to fix dinner, I thought that I could update my blog for the day.

Lets see what happened today. Woke up around 10, which was lovely, hung out around the house and got ready for the day.

We were going to go hiking on bald man hill, but the weather looked kinda dim, so instead we went shopping. We first went to K-mart because we wanted to purchase a game. Apples to apples is what we got. My aunt and I are both school supply nuts, so when we passed the home office supplies we stayed there for awhile. I've been needing a pencil sharpener, so my dad bought me a cheap little one that works pretty well. After there, we went to Office Max, or whatever it's called because Lynn wanted to look for a special type of pen. We stayed there for far too long... but I enjoyed it. There are so many types of pens and we had to inspect them all. Call me crazy, but it's the little things that count!

We then went to Borders, and looked around there for some books. They didn't have the one that I wanted, so I browsed through a few and saw some that I liked. I got My Name is Memory, which is kind of like a romance, twilight type book and then I got Bad Things Happen, which is more of a detective mystery. Yay, because now I have something to read for the plane ride home!! Woot!

After that we made our way to the store and picked up some stuff for dinner tonight. We are having burgers, fruit and chips! Delish! Later we are going to make some good old fashion smores! Pretty exciting.

Well, i'm off.

Day 217: Holy crap.

While my dad is napping, i have been watching national geographic on youtube and I found the craziest video ever or a caterpillar. Strange how Nature can be!

Thursday, June 9, 2011

day 216: Grandmas house

This one will be short, since I have to get ready in a few minutes. Today I'm going over to my grandma and grandpas house to spend the night. Pretty excited. I love seeing them. I'm sure it will be a day full of soap operas and westerns, but that doesn't matter because I'll be with them.

Yesterday I saw the hang over part II, it wasn't as good as the first one, but it still had funny parts. I love that Zach guy. He plays such a good dumb person.

Okay I need to shower and pack.

Later.

Wednesday, June 8, 2011

Day 215: REcap

I've been lacking on details on my blog of lately. I've either been to hungover to write, sick with allergies or busy packing or traveling to blog. But I'm here now.

So, let me just fill you in on what's been going on the last few days.

I'll start with my actual birthday party.
Erica, Brandie, Jose, my brother, dawn and Lukas came over for my birthday dinner. I wanted something simple so mom and ross made burgers, sweet beans and potato salad. Mom made a topsy turvy cake that turned out beautiful. After dinner we decided to play a drinking game while waiting for Bekah and her boyfriend Chris came over. It was a pretty fun game, but unfortunately I wasn't feeling anything. After that we stopped over at a friends of jose's and I had a quick birthday shot. One of joses friends, Bobby, lived in Denton for 5 years and knew the bars like that back of his hands. That makes him sound like a shady guy, but in actuality he was a sweetie pie.
Once in Denton, we went to a couple bars, Bobby leading the way, and the rest of the night is a complete blur. Free shots because i'm the birthday girl might of been the reason why I don't remember a lot.

Any who for the next few days I was sick and sat on my butt trying to recover. Then allergies got the best of me and I had to pack to leave for Oregon in the morning.

Tuesday morning, 2:55 am I get a phone call from orbits letting me know my flight is on time. I can't go back to sleep, so I get ready for my adventure for the day. My flight took off by 6:30 and I had a layover. Sat in my favorite seat, the middle and got comfortable with the two large men beside me.

Finally in Oregon, my sister Kelly picked me up and brought me back to her place. She had to go to work so I hung around with her two little ones and boy kelly. Addie and I cuddled up together and watched the little mermaid, rudolph the red nose reindeer and some other shows. She drew me a pretty picture, and sung rudolph the red nose reindeer to me. Later she took a bath and read a book. My dad and Sean showed up around 7ish with food in hand. I think I was more excited to see the food than them, because I was super hungry. We ate, talked, hung out and then left for the airport again to pick up Lynn from the airport.

Took us about 2 and a half hours to get home. Mainly because Sean kept whining that he wanted to get coffee and we practically took every exit to find him some. From this, he's not allowed to whine anymore.
No I kid. We like to pick on him. It was a fun car trip. The four of us together could be really good television.

We finally made it home by 11 something. 11 something is about 1 something in Texas, so I'd almost been up for 24 hours. At 12 something, I finally went to sleep.

Now i'm here giving you a recap of my amazing life.

Tuesday, June 7, 2011

Day 214: HERE

I've finally arrived to Oregon. I'm literally too exhausted to write anymore, but tomorrow is going to be a lazy day, so I'll have time to write then.

Later gator.

Monday, June 6, 2011

Day 213: Leaving

I leave tomorrow. So very early. My allergies are just horrible today, so I'm hoping they will clear up for me tomorrow.

I think I have almost everything packed. I always feel like i'm missing something. Do you ever get that feeling?

I feel like i've gained like 10 pounds. Thats gross. I guess I should try and eat better when I'm in Oregon and hopefully we will be doing a lot of hiking and stuff. Unless my effing allergies are kicking my ass again. Thats no fun at all.

Okay, i'm outta here! PEACE OFF.

Sunday, June 5, 2011

Day 212: Oregon soon

Lukas came over tonight. Favorite little boy ever. We laughed practically all night. He's such a cutie.

I leave for Oregon Tuesday morning. I feel like my summer is going by way too fast. SLOW DOWN please.

I don't really have a lot to say, so i'm just going to end it now. No point really to talk about my boring day.

Saturday, June 4, 2011

Day 211: Hungover

Never again.

I drank way too much last night. So much that I don't even remember who I left the bar and got home. I mean I know who took me home, but I don't actually remember it.

It was a very good birthday, but as of right now, I'm HUNGOVER. I threw up last night, my stomach hurts, my head is pounding, and i'm so exhausted.

After throwing up, you think i'd feel better but nope. Today is all about lying on the couch and watching t.v., drinking water, and not moving.

Welcome to being 21!

Excuse me while I go slam my head against a wall.

Day 210: ITS MY BIRTHDAY!

21st birthday! Nuff said!

Thursday, June 2, 2011

Day 209: Last day as 20!

Today was fabulous! Maymester is OVER WITH. and I did so well in that class. Hallelujah!

I got some wedges as a early birthday gift for myself and I LOVE them! Although it sucks to be tall, because like really, when am I going to wear them and not look like a giant?

Whateves, they are freaking cute.

Any who, my birthday is tomorrow and i'm still so freaking excited.

I'm very tired though, so i'm gonna go and tell you all about my birthday Saturday, I'm sure.

Tata.

Wednesday, June 1, 2011

Day 208: 2 more days!

Last night was a horrendous night. Let me just say that I hate hate hate bugs. But what I really hate the most is when I'm lying in bed about to fall asleep and I feel something crawling down my arm and I look down and see a HUGE centipede on my arm. With all it's little legs squirming around just grosses me out. So, I flung the bug off my arm and it landed on my pillow. Of course that would happen! Since I was still in shock I threw my pillow off my bed. Then I had no idea where the big ol' bug went. I stripped my sheets and comforter off my bed and was now fully awake. It took me a while before I finally was comfortable enough to get in my bed and fall asleep.

On a better note, tomorrow is my last day of Maymester! Holla!
And then my birthday!

My mom is making me a cake, but she is being very secretive about it. She's making something different than just a regular cake, so I wonder what it could be. She said that it was related to how i'd hopefully not feel the morning after my birthday. That makes me nervous haha.

Anyways, I'm off!
