Boy am I tired. For some reason the last few nights I haven't been sleeping very well. Well i've slept fine, I guess its more that I just can't ever fall asleep. But tonight, I think, I'm going to crash. And thats perfectly fine with me. :)
Even though i'm tired, and have a ton of things to get done, I cannot stop smiling. Maybe it's just because i'm delirious or something, but I have been giggling and catching myself just aimlessly smiling all day.
I think yesterday and todays song should have been switched. Yesterday's song would have fit perfectly with my mood.
Waking up to a cloudy day is always lovely, but waking up knowing that I need to get a million and one things done today isn't very helpful on a day where all I want to do is lounge around in my pjs and read.
Instead, I sluggishly got out of bed, threw on some clothes and put on my handy dandy rain boots and went to school.
The pressure of doing well in school is increasing daily.
I have to get a 2.25 for my GPA this semester or i'll get suspended from school. And of course my classes are getting harder, and of course work WOULD be giving me more hours. Oy vey.
'Just keep breathing, katelan' is a constant thought in my head.
Then I reassure myself by thinking things could always be worse.
I'm off to study.
DAY 21: A song that I listen to when I'm happy
This song never works on a cloudy day, not that i'm not happy when its raining, but this is for a, well, beautiful day.
My weekend has been spent mostly at work. Friday night was fun though. Even though I worked earlier in the evening I got to spend a wonderful night out with Brandie. Boy, let me tell you we had a lot of laughs. Yesterday I went to the library with Bekah and that's always an adventure. While studying in our private room, we kept hearing from the room right next to ours a man singing. We think he thought it was sound proof. Poor guy. Then off to work. Thats why I didn't write anything last night, because as soon as I got home I had to go to sleep so I could go to work this morning.
Usually I do markdowns on Sundays, so I was actually not dreading to go to work today because I like markdowns.
I
WAS
SO
WRONG
No markdowns at all. You know what I had to do instead?
Vacuum. I vacuumed it up from 8 in the morning until 11. That, my friends is 3 hours of vacuuming. Not only did I have to bend over a million times to get every single dust bunny there was, I also had to drag around this old, nasty, snorting contraption and vacuum every inch of the store. I don't ever want to vacuum again. Stupid pig! No really. That's its name.
So today, while at work, this man who works at my gym came into the store. Buff, buff guy. I'm going to call him Rex. Rex apparently offered one of my managers, (We'll call her Bonnie) training for the gym. Rex gave her this form and told her to fill it out and he would be back later in the day, well she left and didn't really want it do it, so that form is now in the trash.
Rex came back. Asked for Bonnie, but of course she left. Rex was very disappointed. Tried to offer the same thing to my other manager, bought a pair of women's shoes and left. 3 hours later, Rex was back again, only this time in a too tight black tank top. Awkward because me and the other manager had been talking about him, and I told my coworkers how he's always trying to get people to train with him at the gym and always comes up to me and tells me how i'm doing something wrong and that I should get a trainer. Ew, no. Go away Rex. No one likes Rex, but of course he was there. Shopping again. I said he's probably going to buy womens shoes again because he has such little feet. My manager nudged at me and said "If you know what I mean? I don't think I'm allowed to say that." Made my entire day.
Any who, my manager and I tried to hide from him the whole time he was shopping. Luckily my shift had just ended so I asked my manager if I could get my checks. Unfortunately, as we were doing this, Rex was checking out. Someone else was checking him out, BUT just when we thought we didn't have to deal with Rex anymore he rushed to the back of the store. My manager and I just looked at each other and said "Creepy." Two seconds later and woman came up to us and handed me a phone. Said she found it in a stack of clothes. I put two and two together and realized it was Rex's phone. 'No' I thought. I had to go find him and give him his tiny little phone. I rushed back to the store found him standing in line to get into the fitting rooms. Boy, did Rex look pissed. His face was all red, shinning through his spray tan, his arms were folded across his chest and his tiny little feet were squarely spaced apart.
I looked him and said "Is this your phone?" And Rex was so happy. I had to walk with him all the way to the front. "Thanks so much" he said. I politely said no problem, even though in my head I was completely annoyed that I had to give him his stupid little phone. He also said "I guess I shouldn't have such a little phone" All I wanted to say was, 'nah, it goes well with your tiny little... feet."
