The good, the bad and the random?!

Hey there Blog.
I've missed you. I mean technically not really, otherwise I would have been blogging every other day like I used to, but I'm back now... at least for a little while.

Lets update you on some bad and good things going on in my life.

The bad news first right?
You remember that 5k I was planning on running? Yeah... I got sick that weekend and couldn't make it. How much of a bummer is that? A lot. But don't worry, there will be others and I will be more prepared next time.
Okay, some more bad news? I got a ticket a month ago! Had to pay about $230 or something. Now i'm broke again because work barely gives me enough hours as it is.
And school is still talking over my life. I have a couple more mid terms next week to focus on and then I should be good for awhile.

Okay okay, thats enough of the bad stuff. Now ready for some good?
It's November, which means that its one day closer to Thanksgiving, one day closer to New York, and one day closer for getting a break from school and that means it will almost be christmas and I can finally see my family!!!

Yeah, thats all I got for now.
Random blog, I know. But at least I posted one right?

GUESS WHAT?

Its about that time for my 5k.

October 16th i'll be running for the cure. And I cannot wait. Only sad part is, I have been slacking on my running. BUT I am running again! Which is all that really matters. Things have been busy lately. I have been mostly dealing with school work. I have so much of it its ridiculous and my weekends are being taken over by work. So basically I have no social life what's so ever.

Although, I have had a few days of relaxation because some of my test are over. I picked up a book at the library Wednesday and finished it yesterday. It is a very intense book, and I'm not going to lie, but I am still a little haunted by it. I think I'm too empathetic or something, because all I feel right now is pain and sadness from that book and it actually scares me that its reflecting in my normal day life. I just need to return it and focus on something else I suppose.

Anyways, thats just my quick little update.

HOLY COW. I'm a slacker.

Well, I haven't blogged in ages.

Why? Well i'll tell you why.

I have gotten so out of rhythm it's not even funny.

Now that school has started, and my work schedule has changed I can get back into routine like I once was. It's going to be so hard. No more staying up late doing what ever, or watching t.v. all day. Now its time to get focused on more important things.

School for one. I'm taking 12 hours, so thats not too bad. Last year I didn't do so hot, so I need to make up for that now. I'm telling myself that I will be making either B's or A's. I wont stand for anything lower. So take that Political science 1 & 2, biology and communication!

Lets see. Mom and I have been working out to that P90X exercise. It's pretty intense, but it takes a lot of motivation to do it everyday. I'm pretty much losing it as the days go on, which is a bummer and I have completely lost touch with running. It's quite sad, BUT since I have no morning classes I'm going to get up early and go to the gym then. Gotta finish what I started right? Gotta do a 5k!
At least i'm noticing my mistakes and trying to correct them right?

This blog is very scattered brain.
I guess i'm done being random for now.
Gotta go to sleep and get up early for my 7:30 class tomorrow! Ew.

Back from Florida

So, Erica and I took a road trip to Florida.

We left early Wednesday morning. 21 hours of driving, over eating, reading, jamming to music, talking about the strangest things, stopping at scary gas stations and taking pictures we finally made it to the Condo in Bonita Springs. It was early in the morning when we finally got there. About 3 a.m.
At first we thought we couldn't get into the gate because we (cough cough Erica) typed in the number of the gate wrong, but after a call to Ross we finally figured it out. Thank God too, because I sure didn't want to sleep in the car until morning.
As soon as we got in we fell straight to sleep.
The next day it was cloudy out and stormy. It was a little disappointing, but we decided we needed to go grocery shopping and from the drive the day before we thought we could use the day to just relax. So thats what we did. We shopped, unpacked and relaxed. Later the weather got a little nicer so we went swimming. And of course went to bed early because we were still pooped.
When we woke up the next morning it was bright and sunny. It was the perfect day to travel to the beach, so we did just that.
It was super nice. We laid out, people watched and swam. Of course because of my nephew and his fascination with shark movies, i was a little scared at first when I got in, but I soon got over my fear and enjoyed the beautiful ocean water. It was so nice and relaxing, until you got out of the water and sand was just everywhere. It was worth it though. We ate out and got a little burnt but that was fine. Later that night we went to Fort Myers and walked around the beach and shops. It was a cute little town.
The next day we slept in, lounged at the pool and cleaned because we were leaving early morning the next day. We got EVEN more burnt. It was a little sad. We were pretty sore and tired so we lounged around the condo, but it was super nice.
6:30 the next morning we got ready super fast and left for Orlando! Harry Potter land here we come! We drove three hours to get there, but the trip went fast. Maybe because we were too excited. When we arrived it started to pour. We were a little sad because we thought we wouldn't be to go to Harry Potter land, but we sucked it up, walked in rain and got to see the wonderful world of Wizard land. The rain actually worked out best for us because less people were there and it started to clear up later in the day and all the rides were working. The park was well worth the 85 dollars to get in.

We spent all day there and left to stay at a free hotel Erica's father got us! It was so nice. Free breakfast in the morning and a little bit shorter ride home.
We made it back in 18 hours.

All in all it was a great trip!

Today is going to be a long one.

It's 6:33 a.m.

I didn't just wake up.
I have stayed up.

I don't even know how this has happened, but I have managed again to mess up my sleeping schedule. It seems like every summer I will end up sleeping all day and staying awake all night. Usually that makes sense because I have nothing to do, but this summer? This summer I have had work, and seeing people and vacationing. I have been doing a pretty good job, or at least I thought, of going to bed at a decent time and waking up at a decent hour. Guess not. One day I slip up and it has me up all night? Good grief!

So today I plan to stay up all day. I have to go back to my normal sleeping schedule because this is ridiculous. Why can't I wake up at 6:33 a.m. like normal people do? Well thats still pretty early, but you get the drift.

Anyways, to keep myself preoccupied so I don't pass out and sleep the day away, I will tell you what I have been up to. I think on Monday, I read Sam's Letters to Jennifer. It's an easy read, so I read that in one day. It was a very touching, sad, and beautiful book. Usually James Pattersons books are. I liked the book a lot. I think I cried every other page. Tuesday I hung out with some friends, and went to the gym. Wednesday I edited a recent video I have been working on. It needs a lot of work, but i like it so far. I also watched Remember Me. It supposedly has a shocking or different ending that people wouldn't expect and half way through the movie I guessed it, so I think that made me like the movie less. I don't really think i'll be remembering Remember me, or maybe i'm too harsh of a critic.

Today I plan on eating lunch with a friend, go to the library to get some more books and then hopefully seeing Inception for three dollars!!
I just hope i can make it through the day. I'm already getting drowsy.

Anyways, thanks blog for keeping me busy for about 20 minutes as I thought of something to write.

Dawson Creep.

I just finished reading Rules of Attraction.
Yes, this is also a movie, but it was a book first. If you've seen the movie, which stars little Dawson, from Dawson's creek, its a pretty twisted movie. I didn't think the book could be more twisted, but let me tell you the book is even crazier. It was horrible, the characters were so conceited, so twisted, so full of crap, so unmotivated, so confused. The whole story infuriated me. I didn't find any of the characters interesting, but rather pathetic. But I liked the book. I loved the way it was written, I loved that I loathed each character, but still wanted to know what was going on in their twisted little head. I couldn't put the book down. It made me realize that, "Hey, my life's not so bad!"
Yeah. Its that kind of book.

Besides reading I have been working and spending time with friends, enjoying my summer. In August I leave for a road trip for Florida. I can't wait to venture towards the other coast and can finally say I've traveled from coast to coast!

Also, I have to get in the habit of running again. It's pathetic that I have to start over again, but oh well thats what I get for being a lazy ass. I still plan to run a 5k. I may have been postponed by a few weeks, but I'm not giving up.

eer.

Wow.
I've been horrible.

I seemed to have lost my motivation the last few weeks. Sorta went back to the "old" Katelan.
I don't like that at all. Not at all.
